Gary Innes and Friends

Gary Innes & Friends brings together the acclaimed Highland accordionist with two outstanding musicians from the Scottish traditional music scene for a vibrant performance full of driving tunes and Celtic flair.

Gary Innes, from Spean Bridge in Lochaber, is an award-winning musician and founding member of Mànran, with whom he has toured internationally and released several albums. Alongside his musical career, he presents Take the Floor on BBC Radio Scotland, and also hosts Your Requests with Gary Innes.

He is joined by pianist Rory Matheson, widely regarded as one of the finest accompanists in Scottish traditional music. A finalist in BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year, he has performed internationally with many leading artists across the folk scene.

Irish multi-instrumentalist Ryan Murphy, completes the trio. He is also a member of Manran, as well as the band Imar, and is known for his powerful performances on the Uillean pipes and whistle, blending Irish and Scottish traditions with energy and flair.
