Where will the Festival take place?

The festival will take place in the magnificent Ayr Town Hall, and surrounding venues of the centre of town.
Other venues will include The Cutty Sark Centre and The Grain Exchange, as well as outdoor performances and local establishments.

Coach & Bus

If planning on travelling to Ayr by coach, please find advice and information on routes and times on the Stagecoach and City Link. For info on local buses visit the Explore Ayrshire website.

Coaches from Glasgow’s Buchanan Street Bus Station leave for Ayr generally every 30 minutes on Fridays and Saturdays and hourly on a Sunday. They arrive into Ayr Bus Station – a 5 minute walk from Ayr Town Hall.


Ayr Train Station is served by trains every 30 mins from Glasgow Central. The train station lies 10 mins walk away from Ayr Town Hall. Please visit Scotrail for information on times and prices, or plan your rail journey using Trainline.


We’d love you to take public transport to join us, but for those driving the main routes to Ayr are:

  • From the North via the M77 and A77.
  • From the South via the M74 to the A70. Or if coming from South West Scotland via the A77 or A76.

Please note there is no parking at the Town Hall or Cutty Sark Centre. There are car parks in and around Ayr Town Centre all within walking distance of the venues. For more information please see the Ayrshire Roads Alliance website and Parkopedia.


Glasgow Prestwick Airport is only 10 mins by train from Ayr Train Station, and Glasgow International Airport is a 40 minutes away by road (or very close to the main Glasgow – Ayr Trainline).
