Alma

Alma is a Glasgow-based trio comprising of singer songwriters, Anna Cassidy, Ellyn Oliver and Marina Rolink. The three came together over their love of lush harmonies and considered songwriting at the end of 2024 and their first live set together resulted in a Danny Kyle award at Celtic Connections 2025. This was the beginning of a successful year of gigs and saw the release of their debut single ‘Magpie’ which earned them a feature interview on BBC Radio Scotland, multiple radio plays and gigs around the Scotland.

Taking inspiration from the likes of Joni Mitchell, Laura Marling and The Staves, the trio seek to create songs that are warm, honest, and thoughtful. This is all reflected in the root origin of their name, ‘Alma’, which means soul, heart and spirit.
