This shift marks an exciting step forward for the festival and gives us the chance to grow the event in a way that suits audiences, artists, and the atmosphere we want to create. Troon has already proven itself as a strong home for cultural events. The town centre setting, the venues, and the natural flow between spaces give us the right foundation for the next stage of Fresh Ayr.

Troon Concert Hall and Walker Hall offer large, flexible rooms with great sound and a layout that works well for full weekend programming. Visitors can move easily between performances, sessions, and workshops. The surrounding area has plenty of places to eat and relax, which helps create a full festival experience. These venues also allow us to bring more of the programme under one roof which makes planning and attending much simpler. It is a practical move but also a creative one because it opens up new possibilities for how we design the festival.

We are excited about this development and look forward to building a programme that fits the potential of these spaces. The team is working on artist announcements now and there is a strong mix of returning favourites and first time performers.
